It can handle a maximum axle diameter of 0.86" (22mm). However, please note that it is not compatible with Crankbrother Stamp and Syntace Number Nine2 Titanium.

When it comes to wall protection pads, the wall mount comes with two of them which can be attached to light bikes instead of the steel brackets. If you use the brackets to support your bike on the wheel, the additional wall protection is not necessary.
